US stocks mixed ahead of ECB and BOE

FXStreet (San Francisco) - The US stocks closed near of lows of the day as major indexes lost initial gains amid Ukraine and Russia news on cease of fire... or not.

Investors are focused on Thursday's central banks meeting and speculations that the ECB will announce further measures.

The Dow Jones advanced 10.72 points or 0.06% to finish the day at 17,078.28; the S&P 500 lost 1.56 pts or 0.08% to close at 2,000.72; and the Nasdaq Composite eased 25.62 pts or 0.56% to 4,572.56.
