Germany: Retail Sales grow more than expected in January

German Retail Sales increased 3.1% in January, following a 2.1% drop registered the previous month, according to data released today by Destatis. Analysts expected less growth of 1%.

On an annual basis German Retail Sales rose 2.4%, compared with the 3.7% decline and against forecasts of dropping 1.8%.
